Hello, my name is Selina, and for as long as I can remember I’ve been chasing a sense of adventure. My dad used to always tell me I was someone who “runs” in life while most people walk, and I never quite understood what he was saying until I graduated college and immediately pivoted careers, started my own company, and began traveling full-time.

Nowadays I balance my day job running a design and marketing agency with travel content creation. I spend most of my year exploring new places by partaking in slow travel, which has me staying at each destination for a few weeks at a time.

As the designated “send me travel recs” girl of my friend group, I figured why not share this knowledge with the world. My hope is that you can find ways to explore the world deeper, and more ethically and sustainably as well.

  • By day I run a design agency and a marketing agency, specializing in working with DTC brands! If you’re here looking for my design portfolio, you can find it at selinalin.com.

    I always like to be transparent about how much work and money goes into the life that I live. When I’m home in Austin, I work 70 hour weeks, but when I’m abroad, I try my best to work 50 hour weeks instead (with more of my time diverted to organizing and editing content).

  • I use an American Express Platinum card! It gives 5% cash back on travel (hotels and airfare) as well as perks such as lounge access, airline and hotel credit, CLEAR, and TSA Pre-check/Global Entry.

  • At the moment, I don’t net positive with travel content creation! Occasionally I work with hotels and tourism boards, but not enough to offset my airfare and lodging.

    Most of my paid deals (as opposed to comped experiences) come from creating UGC content for brands, a lot of which doesn’t get posted on my personal social accounts.
